Horden Overview:

      General Description
A steep earth embankment that forms part of the reclaimed coastline on the site of the former Horden Colliery. Try not to land on the beach as it is quite dirty. Make sure your vehicle is secure as undesirables roam this area.
      Access Notes
Follow the A1086 north through Blackhall and Horden. Take the B1283 towards Easington Colliery and turn almost immediately right onto a track past the water treatment works. Follow the track beneath a railway bridge and on the far side turn right and continue (badly rutted take care) to the car park. In 2004 some works have been carried out that have decreased the car-parking but which have created a smoother sloping launch area.
      Safety
Toplanding HG's Approach well back not to high, beware of the ground sloping down into wind !

If flying alone leave no equipment unattended.

Certain sections of the cliff top can rotor, dependant on wind direction and speed.

Avoid landing in the sea.
