Easington Overview:

      General Description
A steep earth embankment above vertical cliffs that forms part of the reclaimed coastline on the site of the former Easington Colliery. Rarely used as a launch now as Horden is more popular, Easington gives access south past Fox Holes to Horden then Castle Eden Dene and north passing Beacon Hill, `the viaduct' and Chourdon Point up to Seaham. (If the wind is off to the north Blackhall or Crimdon are better places to fly.)
      Access Notes
Take the B1283 north through Horden towards Easington Colliery. At the sharp left hand bend in Easington Colliery, turn right towards a newly created car park. Follow the path to the coast.
      Safety
If flying alone leave no equipment unattended.

Certain sections of the cliff top can rotor, dependant on wind direction and speed.

Avoid landing in the sea.
      Contact
No one at present.
