Grid Ref: NT721052 Lumsdon Law Overview:
General Description
A mainly grassed hill with some scree and a small quarry that works best in a west south westerly but can be flown round to the north west. This site is little flown and whilst there have been good reports of flying here it has the reputation of being turbulent; following an accident some years ago. Reports tend to indicate that the site is best avoided in strong winds but it is worth a look at in light conditions. (It would be good to get more feedback on this site)
Access Notes
Just after Ramshope Lodge there is a lay-by for parking on the right.
Safety
When landing watch out for power lines in front of the hill. The bottom landing field also slopes and can be boggy. In strong winds it has been reported to be rough in a south westerly and a westerly as higher ground lies in front.
