Lords Seat Overview:

      General Description
This is the large grassed hill seen as one approaches Alwinton from the South. It has a steep face that is fairly extensive. Works best in a s.s.easterly but can be flown in southerly if not too windy. Permission to fly must be sought first from Mr. Dixon.
      Access Notes
Take the Makendon road out of Alwinton, look out for the gate on your right after roughly ½ mile. It is possible to top drive but permission must be gained first from Mr. Dixon. The road under the hill has limited parking (max 3 cars) so it is best to use the car park in Alwinton and share, leaving the least number of cars as possible on the roadside. Mr Dixon has requested that 4x4's on the top are kept well back out of sight.
      Safety
The site is popular with the RAF! so it is strongly recomended not to fly mid weak, note power lines along the road at the bottom of the hill. It gets turbulent if the wind is off to the south west.
