Lordenshaw Overview:

      General Description
Lordenshaw forms the grassed southeast end of the Simonside Hills that stretch away to the northwest. The ridge section of the Simonside Hills is densely forested, the main face is covered with heather and grass. Works best in a n.easterly but can take e.n.easterly
      Access Notes
Approach from the B6342 Rothbury road. Take the road that runs beneath the Simonside forest towards Great Tosson.

Parking in the main car park. (Please note ! this site can be only flown on Nov 1st to March 31st)
      Safety
Beware not to get blown over the back there is steep southerly ridge behind take off (100yrds) beware of the odd large bolders on the main face. If you go XC along the Simonside range beware of the forested sections and don't forget the Otterburn firing range down wind !
